The International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems and Applications, IJCISA, is a refereed journal dedicated to the theory and applications of computational intelligence Systems (artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation, expert systems and hybrid systems and so forth).

The main goal of this journal is to establish an effective communication channel between researchers involved in the computational intelligence area and developers who use traditional techniques to solve real-world problems, in order to create a worthwhile synergy. It also seeks to promote the transfer of knowledge between professionals in academia and industry by emphasizing research in which results are of interest or applicable to practices. The journal publishes original research papers; review papers; technical papers and notes; short communications; discussion on papers; cases studies; special issues on selected topics reflecting important advances in the general field of computer and electronics.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • •Theory, systems and applications of computational intelligence
    •Biologically-inspired computational intelligence
•Computational intelligence in image/signal processing, knowledge discovery
    •Evolutionary computation
    •Distributed intelligent systems
    •Neural systems and human-like agents
    •Statistical learning theory
