Preface

Ethnic areas have long been the main battlefield for China’s fight against poverty, due to their history, culture, resource endowment and geographic environment. The Communist Party of China and the State have always attached great importance to the development of ethnic minorities and ethnic areas. With the joint efforts of all ethnic groups, ethnic areas have achieved a complete victory in the fight against poverty in 2020. Listed companies, as the mainstay of the capital market, are an indispensable force in poverty alleviation. As China enters the post-2020 poverty alleviation era, listed companies will certainly play an important role in consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation and promoting the comprehensive rural revitalization. However, the development of listed companies in ethnic areas has consistently lagged behind that of other regions in China. The central government has repeatedly emphasized in different occasions; the capital market should pay attention to arrangements for listing companies in ethnic areas. Incubation network, which is different from traditional incubator, connecting all kinds of innovation subjects in the form of network, has become more and more prominent in incubation of listed companies.
This study first analyzes the status of socio-economic development in ethnic areas. Then it utilizes incubation network theory to analyze the incubation mechanism of listed companies in ethnic areas, and summarizes the incubation models of listed companies in ethnic areas. The empirical research analyzes the incubation effects of listed companies in ethnic areas, ultimately providing theoretical and empirical support for proposing development strategies of listed companies in ethnic areas.
